It's a "Bark for Life." Your dog can now get in to the act at Bluffton's Relay for Life on Saturday morning, June 21.

The event is at the Bluffton University football field, Augsburger Road entrance. Here's how it works, according to Lynda Best:

Dog registrations take place from 7 to 8 a.m. For a fee of $10 anyone may walk a dog on the track from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

"The bark for life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society," said Best.

A chicken barbecue dinner is planned during this summer’s Bluffton Area Relay for Life.

The chicken barbecue is from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, June 20, at the Bluffton University football field. Enter the Augsburger Road entrance; eat in or dine out.

Cost is $8 for one-half chicken, two sides and a roll. Henry’s of Ottawa is the caterer. Tickets are on sale at Village Cut n’ Curl, Polished or by called Best at 419-358-5858.
