Have you checked your calendar? It's that time again. Bluffton observes trick-or-treat on Thursday, Oct. 25. The witching hour is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. 

Ding, dong...sorry, got to go. Someone's at the door. If I'm not mistaken, it's the Diller children from next door.

Other locations handing out treats

Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., will accept Halloweeners from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., will accept Halloweeners from 6 to 7 p.m. in the lobby. 

The Holiday session of youth and adult programs at BFR Sports & Fitness will begin the week of Oct. 29. Adult Fitness Classes continue into December. Youth sport skill 7-week sessions will also begin the week of Oct. 29. In addition to sport skill and fitness classes, BFR offers  fitness center memberships, track passes and recreation passes.

A meeting for those with Multiple Sclerosis, their partners and caregivers will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, at The Centre at  Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

Reservations are needed for the dinner and may still be made the day of the program by calling 1-877-219-0410  and giving the program number 2387. The event starts with
registration at 6 p.m

Questcor Pharmaceuticals is the sponsor and provides the speaker. The topic is "Take Control of Your MS Relapses: Know Your Treatment Options."

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Here Comes the Boom" (PG) and will be shown at the theatre from October 26 - November 1.

Show times are every evening at 7:00 and 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 and 4:00 PM. 

Premiering November 2nd will be Wreck-It-Ralph. Shannon Theatre will be celebrating Customer Appreciation Weekend November 2-4.

Once a year area residents have an opportunity to purchase art created by local artists - thanks to the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs. This year's opportunity is Saturday, Oct. 27.

The event is the BCE's annual dinner and art auction fundraiser. Tickets are now on sale at $50 each or $300 for a table of eight persons.

 

BFR Sports and Fitness will offer four events, in October, geared for families. 

One of those events takes place Saturday, Oct. 20. It is the kick-off date for a new pre-school program, titled Silly Saturdays. 

Based on the popular, summer Adventure Camps, Silly Saturdays will offer children, ages 4 to 6 years, a theme-based camp-style program. The October date will feature a Creepy Crawler theme that will include a craft, physical activities, and snack time.
