The fourth annual performation fundraiser for Bluffton Campus Life/YFC is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Campus Life Building, 111 W. College Ave.
Entertainmen is provided by students of Krysti's Music Studio. Food will be served for breakfast and lunch.
The cost is a donation to YFC. To donate money to YFC/Campus Life, contact one of Krysti's Music Studio students, come to the event on Saturday, or call Krysti Schey at 419-233-5255.
Several drawing take place during the event. Persons may enter any of the following for every $10 donated.
The annual Beaverdam-Richland Fire Department and EMS fall festival is Saturday, Aug. 13, in downtown Beaverdam. The event is a fund-raiser for the department.
Activities get underway at 4 p.m. This year's festival includes a live band, lots of homemade food and ice cream.
Raffle tickets are available from fire and EMS members for several prizes given away during the evening. This year's grand prizes include:

St. John's United Church of Christ will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 7, at the church. The event is hosted by the Evangelism Committee.
The menu includes homemade ice cream, homemade fruit pies, Sara's hot meat sandwiches, hotdogs and potato chips. The event is open to the public.
Single-event tickets are now on sale for the 2011-12 Bluffton University Artist Series, featuring The Four Freshmen and The Ohio State University Flute Troupe, as well as the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, the Pridonoff Piano Duo and juggler-comedian Mark Nizer.

Elvira Tatarkov of Bluffton, student of Anna Stembler-Smith, will perform a piano recital at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, in Yoder Recital Hall, Bluffton University.
She will be performing music by Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Faure. The recital is free and open to public.
