The next seminar topic covers the topic "circulation and heart disease." The seminar is at 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 21, in the Bluffton office.

Boy Scout Troop 256 from Bluffton is participating in the national BSA event - Scouting for Food. Scouts delivered yellow plastic grocery bags to all houses in Bluffton and Beaverdam this past weekend.

Scouts will pick up the food on Saturday, March 12, starting at noon. All non-perishable food collected will be delivered to the Bluffton Food Pantry.

While the weather outside if frightful, keep in mind that spring is on the way and that means the 40th annual Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Arts and Crafts Show is coming.

This year's show is Saturday, May 21. Craft vendor invitations are being e-mailed and mailed this week. Sponsors are being invited to participate.

Jerry Burkholder is the show director. The event is one of two major fundraisers for the chamber. The other fundraiser is the Blaze of Lights.

If you didn't win last year's Charity Corvette, it's a whole new year and there's a beautiful red 1995 Corvette ready for you to drive home in - if you buy a raffle ticket and win. The car, in pristine condition, has only 22,760 miles on it.

The Bluffton Lions Foundation launched its 2011 Charity Corvette raffle event last week. The Foundation, through its signature program, the Charity Corvette Raffle, continues to raise thousands of dollars for charities in Bluffton and the surrounding area. This is the second year of the raffle program.

Bluffton Public Library's monthly book discussion will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6.

"We'll be visiting historical and contemporary France through Tatiana de Rosnay's book Sarah's Key," said adult services coordinator Leslie Liberato. The book discussion will be held at Common Grounds Coffeehouse & Caf'e.

Anyone interested in attending is welcome and a month-to-month commitment is not required. Copies of the book are available at the library. Space is limited and registration is required.

Northanger Abbey is this week's Jane Austen film show at the Bluffton Public Library. The show is at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8. The film showing is part of Bluffton University' Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) and the Friends of the Library.

A discussion of the film will follow its showing.
