The NW Ohio Low Brass Collective will perform at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 in Snyder Recital Hall which is located in Presser Hall at ONU. FLYER

The concert will include works by Bach, Bizet, Sousa, Curnow; with a solo performance by Dr. Erin Helgeson Torres. The collective is conducted by Tyler Ferris.

Concerts are free and open to the public.

The 55th annual Festival of Wheels will be showcased on Bluffton’s Main Street this upcoming Friday, June 16. Coordinator Dan Groman notes that last year the Bluffton Lions Club show was literally 2 spaces from full capacity, so in 2023 the event will extend onto Elm St and along Main to Jefferson.

Main St. will close at 1:00 p.m.; registration is from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

The Juneteenth Lima Committee and the Council for the Arts of Greater Lima will join the Sigma Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the City of Lima Parks and Recreation Department to present Juneteenth Lima 2023. The day-long  event is a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States, a celebration of the joys of liberty, and an opportunity to educate the community about Black heritage, and promote positive cultural interaction.  

This year’s celebration will take place Saturday, June 17, in the Downtown Lima Square, all under the theme “Celebrate Us”. 

Jazzercise Bluffton will be offering a free community workout on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. with the Greenhorn food truck open to serve breakfast.

Gordon The Magician will perform at the Ottawa Metro Park Amphitheater, 2632 Ada Rd., Lima at 7:00 p.m. 0n Sat., June 10. The summer program is hosted by the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District. 

Gordon and his trusty sidekick, George the Raccoon, have traveled the globe in  search of smiles, laughs, and fun. A master of audience involvement, Gordon “invents” magic on the spot using the most ordinary items imaginable. Couple this with a limitless  array of tried-and-true tricks of the trade, and you have a performance that is second to  none.
