Letter: Thank you for your support of the school levies

Icon viewers:

On behalf of the Bluffton Schools Board of Education and the levy committee, I would like to thank you for your support of our two renewals on Tuesday, May 7.

We will continue to spend these funds responsibly, while giving our students an excellent education.  We are very proud of our school and the community that supports it.  Thank you, again, for all you do for our district!

Sincerely,
Greg Denecker

Letter: Bluffton Area Ministerial Association endorses ACRTA’s levy on May 7

In Scripture we hear of a time when Jesus was asked, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?”  The response was, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.”  While the one asking the question understood loving God, there was a follow-up question, “And who is my neighbor?”

What a sports photo!

Letter to the Editor:

The picture of Alivia Koenig's shooting the second of her 2 free throws with 1.4 seconds remaining is a tremendous sports picture.  I have been around athletics for a long time, and this picture is one of the greatest sports photo I have ever seen.  With the ball in the air, and the picture of the full scoreboard in the background, the entire story is captured.  I congratulate Carl Wilkerson for shooting such a timely, action picture.

March is Social work month: This year’s theme is "Elevate social work."

Each day, nearly 700,000 social workers nationwide work to elevate and empower others, giving them the ability to solve life’s problems, cope with personal roadblocks and get the services they need.

We all know special social workers in the area, that give their time, energy and love outside of their 9-5 work day in order to make life a little easier for others.

John and I would like all to know that we enjoyed a fabulous concert at the Bluffton Town Hall this last Saturday. Wendy Chappell-Dick along with Jeff Yoder (guitar), Lucas Harnish (key board) and Dayton Fandray (bass) did all Joni Mitchell music. It was fantastic!

Right now the pantry is overflowing with supplies.
