Joel William (Bill) Boehr, 83, died at his home in Chandler, Ariz., at 5:15 a.m., Jan. 6, 2013. He was born in Bluffton to John and Edna Boehr on Sept. 18, 1929. He is survived by a brother, Richard (Corrinne) Boehr, of Bluffton.

Mr. Boehr graduated from Pandora High School and from Bluffton College, where he majored in art. He then went on to graduate from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Birmingham, Mich. He volunteered and served two years in the United State Marine Corp.

Princess Gladys Long Grismore, 98 died at 11:50 am January 8, 2013 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. 

She was born May 2, 1914 in Lima to the late Floyd and Louise (Lauck) Long.  She also had a stepfather Omar Johnson who preceded her in death.  On August 31, 1935 she married Fred L. Grismore and he died November 29, 1981.

She was a former employee of Lima Printing and Ledger Company.  She lived all of her married life on the Grismore Farm near Pandora. 

Earnest "Oscar" Williams, 83, formerly of Lafayette, died at 5:21 a.m. Jan. 3, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Merdie B. and Dora Adams Williams, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 14, 1948, he married Martha Neeley, who survives in Lima.

Mr. Williams had been a machine operator at Clark Equipment Co., Lima, for 31 years. He retired in 1994 as a custodian from Allen East Elementary School, after 10 years. He was a member of High Street Freewill Baptist Church, Ada.

Imojene Bronson, 86 of Bluffton died at 6:50 p.m. Jan. 3, 2013 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. 

She was born in Bluffton to the late Fred O. and Esma (Burkholder) Bronson.

Imojene was a homemaker and a member of the Missionary Church in Bluffton.

Survivors include a sister Fairy Mesler of Bluffon; a brother Marvin Bronson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nephew Gary (Karen) Bronson of Celina; niece Sam (Dave) Holland of Bellefontaine; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Dorothy J. "Dottie" Edinger, 81 of Bluffton died at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 1, 2013 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born January 7, 1931 in Mt. Cory to the late John and Anna (Gorby) Bowersox. On June 28, 1953 she married Norman Edinger and he died December 5, 1992.

Dottie retired from Bluffton Hospital. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton.  She was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Cory High School

Marion E. "Sam" Shields, 87, of Bluffton, Ohio, formerly of Ida, Mich., died December 26, 2012.

Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a Fireman's Last Call Service that evening.

He will lie in state at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, Mich., Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m.. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, Mich.. Graveside services will be under the auspices of the Lynn C. Weeman American Legion Post 514.
