Henry "Colin" Dunbar worked for Detroit Edison

Henry "Colin" Dunbar, 92, passed away December 6, 2022 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Colin was born March 1, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Henry C. and Agnes M. (Miller) Dunbar. He married Edith Tews Dunbar who preceded him in death on February 10, 2013. 

Colin retired from Detroit Edison where he was an electrical engineer.  One of his enjoyments in retirement was continually furthering his learning.  

Survivors include a granddaughter, Courtney Elizabeth Makin-Caudill of Bluffton; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Leigh Caudill and Logan Ray Caudill.

Elaine R. Harris owned and operated Twin Lakes Campground

Elaine R. Harris, 83, passed away December 4, 2022 at Willow Ridge-Betty House, Bluffton. Elaine was born July 6, 1939 in McComb to the late Clarence and Florence (Russell) Eck. On November 14,1992 she married Robert Harris who preceded her in death on July 4, 2016.

Dorothy B. Nonnamaker was married on Pearl Harbor Day

Dorothy B. Nonnamaker, 90, passed away November 30, 2022 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Dorothy was born on March 18, 1932 in Celina, Ohio to the late Harry and Adah (Smith) Ellis. She was the second to youngest of ten children.

After graduating from high school, Dorothy moved to Rawson then later to Findlay, Ohio. She was employed by Daisy-Maid Bakery where she met her husband Dean Nonnamaker. They married December 7, 1953 (Pearl Harbor Day) in a chapel in Angola, Indiana.

Obituary for Betty Louise Burkholder

Betty Louise Burkholder, 81, passed away November 28, 2022, at 2:40 a.m., at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arlington.

Betty was born July 23, 1941 in Bluffton, to the late Arthur and Maxine (Bash) von Stein. 

Betty graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1959 and from the North Western School of Commerce in 1961.

Soon after in 1961, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jerry Burkholder. They were married 61 years. 

Betty began working at Citizens National Bank, Bluffton, Ohio in 1961.

Larry Dudgeon served in the U.S. Army

Larry Dudgeon, 88, passed away November 17, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. Larry was born June 13, 1934 in Bluffton to the late Melvin and Beulah (Rice) Dudgeon. On March 6, 1970 he married Annetta (Habegger) Dudgeon who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015.
