Seventy-five Bluffton High School seniors were transformed into graduates at May 28 commencement ceremonies in the school gym. Family and friends attended the event which began with a slide and video show of graduates--as they appear today and their baby pictures.
A welcome address including Pirate jokes was provided by Luke Shadle.

The May student of the month at Bluffton High School is Ethan Bogart, son of Nathan Bogart of Pandora and Janelle Bogart of Bluffton. Ethan is a senior at Bluffton High school. He was a member of the football team, cross country team (freshman year) and is currently on the track team. He was a state finalist in the 4x400 relay in 2021 and is advancing to state in the 4x400 relay and 300 hurdles. He is also in a bowling league.
Hancock County’s Cory-Rawson High School took home both the ODOT choice award and people’s choice award in a clean sweep of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1’s annual Paint the Plow contest. The plow’s artwork honors Bluffton Police Department Officer Dominic Francis.
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club of Bluffton has awarded two “Service To Humanity” scholarship awards, given to graduating seniors of Bluffton High School.
The 2022 outstanding $1000 scholarship winners are:
Sophie Bricker, daughter of Tyler and Sarah Bricker. Sophie plans to enter the field of Integrated Mathematics Education at Bowling Green State University.
Ellie Nickel, daughter of Kevin and Kendra Nickel. Ellie will pursue a degree in Psychology at Goshen College.
