The October issue of "The Visioneer" from Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is now posted on The Icon. It is an attachement at the bottom of this story.
The issue focuses on the Sunday, Oct. 14, open house and dedication of the Willow Ridge Green House Project campus.
Editor’s note: Seth Pannabecker is the son of Jo and Tim Pannabecker.
How old are you and what grade are you in?
I’m 8 and in third grade.
Where were you born?
I was born in Pennsylvania. My mom was born in Africa, but grew up in New Zealand. Dad, he’s
just been living in Bluffton all the time. I was about two years old when we moved to Bluffton. Kate was born nine months later and Mia about one year after Kate.
We realize we've crossed school lines in this story, but there's a good reason why. Bluffton Icon's sister publication, The Ada Icon, caught up with several Ada High School students on Oct. 4. It's Ada's homecoming "spirit week."
Each day of the week has a different dress theme. Turns out on Oct. 4 the theme was dress like a Northwest Conference mascot.
Two Bluffton residents, Mary Em Triplett and Mary Koontz, will receive life time memberships this month from the Bluffton Senior Citizens Assocation, upon reaching their 90th birthdays.
They will be recognized at the 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, monthly dinner meeting at the Center. The meal is catered by the Mt. Cory United Methodist Church. Serving will be orange pork chop loins, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, buttered rolls and homemade pie.
Bob Painter is the program's master of ceremonies. Richard Bucher will provide music as the program.
