Mark Bourassa of Bluffton is one of seven contributors to "The College Union Idea, Second Edition," published in May.
It is the only comprehensive history of the college unions from their early start as debating societies to modern-day facilities at the heart of campus.
Originally edited by Porter Butts in 1971 ("Beginnings" through the 1960s), seven individuals collaborated to add 1970-2010:
Denny Edinger, Bluffton postal employee, brought in a crowd to the Maple Crest "Men-N-Friends" group as he presented his antique post card collection on May 25.
Edinger and his wife, Jane (resident services coordinator at Maple Crest), who have always enjoyed antiquing at flea markets, found themselves drawn to colorful, quaint post cards, particularly holiday cards.
Dick Ramseyer, a member of the Bluffton Lions Club, has received the International Leadership Award at the Ohio State Lions Convention. The event was May 19 in Columbus.
Lions District Governors from around the state recommend Lions in their district for national awards who have provided exemplary service to their community.
"It was a pleasure for me to recommend Dick from District 13-A for the International Leadership Award provided by the Lions International President, Wing-Kun Tam," said Barbara Plaugher also of the Bluffton club.
