Bluffton Housing Corp. will hold its annual stockholders' meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Vance Street Apartments.

The agenda includes reports of the operations of Riley View Apartments and Vance Street Apartments and the election of officers.

Three board members' terms will expire. They are Matthew Jordan, Lois Goodman and Kathy Rode.

Continuing board members are Ed Yeager, Fred Rodabaugh, Bob Fett, Deb Beer, Mary Fett and Wally Buroker. Buroker was recently appointed to fill the unexpired term of Sue Shields.

Were you born in Bluffton? Graduated from BHS in what years?

My family moved to Bluffton in the summer of 1975. I started Bluffton Elementary School that fall. I rode the bus over to Beaverdam Middle School for 6th through 8th grade. I was at Bluffton High School from 1984-88.

Share some memories about growing up here. School, friends, teachers, etc.

Citizens National Bank has named Stacy Lauer as Senior Vice President/Institutional Investor. In this position, Lauer will be responsible for monitoring the bank's investment portfolio and the development and administration of deposit pricing strategies.

Lauer received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bluffton University and an master's degree in in Economics from Bowling Green State University. She has been employed with CNB since 1994, working in the credit analysis department and later transitioning to her most recent position as SVP/Head of Information Technology.

The Bluffton Elementary School recently released its second honor roll of the school year. It follows: (click here for Middle School and High School honor rolls).

Six Bluffton Middle School students were named students of the month for December.

6th Grade
Lani Bischoff, daughter of Joseph and Melissa Bischoff is a member of the BMS choir. She plays basketball, soccer and is in dance. Lani attends the Ebenezer church.

Aaron Belcher is the son of Tracy and Jodi Belcher. He participates in basketball, football and baseball.

7th Grade
Sarah Siders is the daughter of Aaron and Joy Siders. She is a member of the BMS strings program. Sarah is also a member of 4-H and shows horses.

Bluffton High School graduate Michael Blake will be inducted into the Apollo Career Center Hall of Fame during a 6 p.m. program Thursday, Feb. 2, at Apollo. He is one of two inductees this year.

The event is part of Apollo Career Center's celebration of National Career Technical Education month.

Another part of the program includes the presentation of the Charles M. Hankish, Jr. Student Citizen of the Year. The award goes to Paul Parthemore, Bath, an Apollo junior enrolled in the Commercial Foods/Hospitality program.
