What year did you graduate from Bluffton High School?
I graduated from BHS in 2006.

Roxie Kloeppel and her best overall pie

This year's pies auctioned off at $400! And it was all for a good cause. Is there anything sweeter than a homemade pie? You could have gotten your fill of "sweetness" at the pie baking contest hosted by Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Bluffton, on Feb. 11.

Tied with the spaghetti dinner, the evening raised $1,000 for Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.

The Bluffton Middle School winter honor roll was released this week. To read the list open the attachment at the bottom of this file.

Three persons joined the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors on Feb. 11. The three are:

o Sally Siferd, Bluffton University
o James Grosse, Cellular Central
o Tammy Whitlow, Colonial Surface Solutions

These three replace Mandy Kinn, Julia Szabo and Judy Augsburger, whose terms expired Dec. 31, 2010.

Each new member is in the first year of a three-year term, from Jan. 1, 2011, to Dec. 31, 2013.

The Bluffton Icon welcomes two new bloggers to its site.

Lyle Arnold's blog is "Dugoutsteps."

He describes his blog and himself this way:

Being born in the country, just outside of Beaverdam, I had ample opportunity to play outside. This helped lead to my love of baseball. It also helped that my brother, Mark, became my Little League baseball coach. We didn't have a great team in Beaverdam, but we did
have a lot of fun.
