Icon viewer and former Bluffton resident Keith Jeffers sent us the following update on Dan Lehman, another former Bluffton resident: Here goes Keith's note:
Dear Fred, Thought this might be of interest to the Icon...Dan Lehman is giving some green time in the Gulf utilizing his skills as a boat captain to help clean up the BP oil mess.
Also, it would be my suggestion to make it a bit easier for people to submit old photos and stories about Blluffton to the Icon for your consideration of publication.

The results of the National Kiddie Tractor Pull at Hometown Amerifest on June 26 were:
3 & 4 Year Olds - pulling 120 pounds
1st place - Cole Bower 4 years old from Bluffton with a pull of 21 feet 3 inches
2nd place - Gavin Bogart - 4 years old from Bluffton with a pull of 21 feet 1 inch
3rd place - Carson Kruse - 3 years old from Bluffton with a pull of 20 feet 11 inches
The Beaverdam Bunch opened up with the Pledge of Allegiance by Brayton Businger. Sarah Amstutz lead the 4-H pledge and they prayer. Role call was given by Julie Althaus, and they Treasurer's report was given by Andrea Spallinger.
Old business talked about fair i.d's and that they start on July 21st all the way up to fair. The 50/50 tickets where handed out by Sarah they are 1dollar for 1 ticket or 5 dollars for 6 tickets.
Joan Swank of Van Wert will soon be driving a Corvette, after her ticket will picked in the Bluffton Hometown Amerifest Corvette raffle drawing on Saturday.
Bluffton Lions Foundation President, Dick Ramseyer, will present the Corvette keys to Joan Swank on Monday, June 28, at 3 p.m. The keys will be handed off at Bud's Chevrolet-Buick, St. Marys.
