The Blanchard and Sandusky River Watersheds announce a photo contest open to residents and amateur photographers in the watersheds.

The contest runs now through July 31 and provides awards of first, second and third place, best of show and people’s choice. Categories are:
• River/water
• Landscapes
• Plants
• Wildlife
• River recreation

You might say March came in like a lamb and went out like a lamb.

Here’s the monthly weather stats from Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer. The average March 2021 temperature was 43.5 degrees, while the normal average is 37.5 degrees.

The March high was 71 on March 24 and March 30. The low was 17 on March 2. The daily weather summary is attached below.

Next week, Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and State Route 235 just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction. 

The work is expected to begin on Monday, April 5.

Lane closures will occur in both directions from Napoleon Road through the SR 696 interchange on Monday and Tuesday, April 5, and 6 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Wednesday through Friday, April 7, from 3 a.m. to noon.
