The 2020-2021 school year has been one that will forever leave an imprint on all of us when we look back on it years from now. Changes such as wearing masks, disinfecting between classes, creating one-directional hallways, social distancing, and quarantining have been added to the vocabulary of schools.

The first half of the 2020-2021 school year has gone very well, considering we are in a pandemic.

The Et Cetera Thrift Shop, 327 N. Main St., Bluffton, is closed today (Friday, Feb. 5) due to the weather conditions, according to Chrissy Lugibihl, manager.
“Due to the weather conditions and to ensure the safety of you, our customers and donors, and our volunteers, the Et Cetera Shop will be closed today for both shopping and donations,” she told the Icon.
January's temperatures ranged from 11 to 46 degrees

The area experienced 3.9 inches of snowfall on Jan. 30 and 31, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.
That total brings January’s snowfall to 8. 1 inches, believe it or not. Meanwhile, aside from snowfall, the average January 2021 daily temperature was 29. 5 degrees, with the normal January average at 25.4.
Temperatures ranged from a high on 46 on Jan. 14, to a low of 11 on Jan. 23. The daily weather summary is in the chart below.
