How can Bluffton be a safer place for people to walk, bike and drive?

The Bluffton Complete Streets Committee is working to make walking and biking easier and safer in Bluffton. Its goal is to enhance safety and facilitate movement in the village for all who use the streets, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

The attached report provides weather observations for our area during the first 11 days of July. 

A low of 55 and high of 91 were observed in Pandora, Ohio.

On Thursday, July 14, the segment of Bentley Rd from Elm to Grove Street will be closed from 8:00-10:00 a.m.

The closure is related to the installation of lights at Salzman Stadium.

In my constant reading and search for more historical and sports knowledge, I came across an interesting bit of hoop history tied to Ada in a book I bought this spring.

In June, two Boy Scout camps in the Black Swamp Area Council recieved annual accreditation for 2022: Camp Lakota, located in Defiance, and Camp Berry in Findlay.

Hardin County is in the Great Oaks District of the Black Swamp Council area.

The Boy Scouts of America National Camp Accreditation Process (NCAP) is designed to help local councils elevate their camps to new levels of excellence. A rigorous review of camps and properties includes 136 different standards that cover everything from program design, staff qualifications, health and safety to facilities.

The Bluffton Community Pool will be closed on July 8-9 because of the WOAL swim championships in Vart Wert.
