Aaron Hart has high men’s game and high men’s series at Southgate

Aaron Hart bowled a 289 for the high game of the week at Southgate Lanes last week. His 767 series was the best for the week among all bowers.

Wendy Erford’s 235 was the high woman’s game and Amber Biltoft’s 633 was the high woman’s series.

Jim Dillman wins week 10 football contest; Duane Bollenbacher wins season contest

The winner of week 10 of The Icon Football Contest was Jim Dillman. Four contestants correctly picked 8 games this week.  None of the four correctly picked either tie-breaker so Jim was declared the winner by submitting his entry first.

Aaron Hart bowled a 727 series last week at Southgate Lanes to achieve the men’s high series score for the week.
Rob Fletcher and Jim Thorbin both had 275 scores for high men’s game.

Gina Bloomfield’s 253 was the woman’s high game and her 633 was the woman’s high series. For the top bowlers of the week open the attachment at the bottom of this story.

Football: Grove over Pirates 21-6

Columbus Grove defeated Bluffton in a rainy final football game of the 2014 season.

How about those Pirates! BHS 48 - Paulding 0

Bluffton Pirates football team had a big day, shutting out Paulding Panthers 48-0 at Harmon Field on Oct. 24. A stadium full the Pirates showed up in all phases to come out on top.

Mid-way through the first quarter Mitchell Ault found Robbie Stratton on a 27 yard pass completion for a touchdown. Point after kick by Kaleb Jefferson was good, 7-0 Bluffton. During the 2nd quarter BHS put their foot on the gas pedal and didn’t let up scoring 5 touchdowns.

Three Pirates named to NCOSA all-league teams

Three Bluffton High School girls' soccer players were name to the North Central Ohio Soccer Association all-league teams this week.

Name to the first team is Sarah Theisen, sophomore, forward. Named to the second team is Katie Burkholder, sophmore, midfielder. Named to the third team is Jadyn Barhorst, sophomore, goalkeeper.
