Jan. 8 chamber breakfast rescheduled for Jan. 15

Weather conditions began to put a halt of many activities in Bluffton on Thursday, Jan. 7. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting, scheduled from Friday morning, Jan. 8, was among victims of the weather. The monthly breakfast meeting was cancelled. It is rescheduled for next Friday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 a.m. in the town hall.

Joseph Allen and Dick Price of the Wilson Football Museum, Ada, are the speakers. Persons knowing of other cancellations may call 419-889-3065 or e-mail [email protected].

Applications being accepting for Huber Scholarships

The Henry P. Huber Scholarship committee is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton school superintendent. Applications may be acquired from the Guidance Counselor at Bluffton High School, the Superintendent's office in the Bluffton Elementary School and from the Citizens National Bank in Bluffton.

Institute for Learning in Retirement registration deadline Jan. 20

Bluffton University's Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), an educational program designed specifically for retired individuals, is offering six classes this winter. The registration deadline is Jan. 20.
