East side of Main circa 1906

Here's another post card photo of Main Street probably around 1906. It was no doubt taken the same day as the previous photo. The photographer simply moved north a few hundred feet.

In the window of the "restaurant" (today Forever in Stitches), a sign reads "Soda." The fronts of these stores have changed very little since this photo was taken.

Square Enix has always aimed to reinvent the Final Fantasy series with every numbered entry. Consequently, numbered Final Fantasy games usually offend long-time fans in some new and unforgivable way. Final Fantasy XII took this tradition to the extreme.

Evoking an emotion

Elvira Tatarkov, Bluffton High School junior, created this large creation. The piece is among several other art works by Bluffton elementary, middle and high school artists on display this month in the Bluffton Public Library.

Almost looks like a Buckeye plate

At first glance this plate looks like one of the earlier Ohio versions. But, not so. This place is from Massachusetts. We spotted it in the Rosenberger Drive parking lot.

One of the greatest features of online news is the ability to share information and ideas with others. In order to expand on this feature, The Icon has been testing out different methods of user comments. At first, we allowed anyone to comment freely. Unfortunately, we began to get bombarded with spam and had to disable comments.

BHS junior class offers prom dress sale

The Bluffton High School junior class will hold a prom dress sale from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 13, in the BHS cafeteria.

Persons may bring their prom dresses and homecoming dresses to sell at the event. Those dresses must be brought to the high school between 3:30 and 6 p.m. on Friday, March 12.

This is a cash only sale. No checks will be accepted. The event benefits the junior class post prom committee.
