BFR will offer 5-Week Swim Session beginning April 28

Splashtime, Little Swimmers, Aqua Kids and Swim I will be offered by BFR for a final five-week session of the academic year, according to Carole Enneking.

The lessons are held at the Bluffton Comfort Inn on Thursday evenings.

Aqua Kids (5:30-6 p.m.) is a program designed for children ages 4-6 years who have completed little Swimmers, but are not ready for the Swim I level.

I think the Mets are winning

As I write this column on Thursday evening (8:55 p.m.) the Mets and Rockies are hitting foul balls about a quarter of a mile to my east. I can see the lights of the field and a bit of the scoreboard from where I sit.

Have garage sale withdrawl? Help's on the way at Friday and Saturday's Bluffton Senior Citizens garage sale

While the SHANNON Service Club officially launched Bluffton's garage sale season earlier this year, the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center now takes the season from first base to second.

Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., will hold its spring garage sale Friday and Saturday, April 15-16.

Friday hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A garage sale half-price and clean up takes place on Monday, April 18.

Mennonite Home-McDonald's community Easter egg hunt Saturday 10 a.m. sharp!

We predict they'll be snatched up in 15 minutes on less.

The Easter Bunny and some of the McDonald's Restaurant characters will visit youth at this year's community Easter egg hunt.

The egg hunt is at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, at Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St.

Children ages 8 and under are welcome to come, hunt for hidden eggs, register for prizes, gift baskets and have their pictures taken with the McDonald's characters.
