February full of activities at Maple Crest

Maple Crest Senior Living Community will have a busy February. The eight-page February newsletter, telling about those events is available to view as an attachment to the bottom of this story.

One of the feature events of the months is on Monday, Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. when Joanne Niswander tells about her month in Australia in October.

Bluffton comeback falls just short in 67-62 loss to Franklin (women's bball)

The Bluffton University women's basketball fell to Franklin College, 67-62, in Founders Hall on Saturday, January 29. Bluffton dropped to 8-11 overall and 5-7 in the HCAC with the Hall of Fame Day loss to the Grizzlies. Franklin improved to 9-3 in the conference and 15-4 on the season.

Bluffton celebrates Hall of Fame Day with win over Franklin (men's bball)

The Bluffton University men's basketball team defeated the Grizzlies in Heartland Conference action, 88-76, with four players in double figures on Saturday, January 29, in Founders Hall. The Beavers improved to 14-5 overall and 7-5 in the HCAC with their Hall of Fame Day victory. The Grizzlies slipped to 7-12 overall and 5-7 in the HCAC.

First United Methodist spaghetti dinner tickets now on sale

Bluffton First United Methodist Church is holding its annual spaghetti dinner, a fundraiser for its Youth Department, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (church basement) at 116 Church St.

Tickets are available from now until Feb. 18 and can be purchased from any First UMC Middle or High School youth or in the church office (419-358-8921). Cost for the tickets is $7 each.

Pandora-Gilboa music boosters chicken barbecue Feb. 4

Pandora-Gilboa schools are busy in February.

The P-G Music Boosters will hold a chicken barbecue dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, in the P-G School Auditeria. Tickets are $6.50 per person. The menu includes barbecue chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and a beverage. Tickets are on sale from P-G music students.
