St. John's UCC presents "Cupid's Cupboard" on Saturday

Cupid's Cupboard and Cafe with a bake sale and lunch is planned from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave.

The cafe menu includes a selection of homemade soups, a hot chicken sandwich, relishes, pie and beverages. Meals are $5 each. Ala carte items are $2.

Siferd, Grosse, Whitlow newest chamber board members

Three persons joined the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors on Feb. 11. The three are:

o Sally Siferd, Bluffton University
o James Grosse, Cellular Central
o Tammy Whitlow, Colonial Surface Solutions

These three replace Mandy Kinn, Julia Szabo and Judy Augsburger, whose terms expired Dec. 31, 2010.

Each new member is in the first year of a three-year term, from Jan. 1, 2011, to Dec. 31, 2013.

Student senate presidential candidate answers questions in Forum

Forum to feature Student Senate presidential candidate

Samantha Lawrence, a Bluffton University junior from Harrod, and the lone candidate for Student Senate president for 2011-12, will answer student questions during a Bluffton Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Founders Hall.

Lawrence will address pre-submitted questions and take others from students at the event, which is free and open to the public. Serving as moderator will be Rudi Kauffman, assistant professor of restorative justice.
