Coffeehouse-style event honors King on Jan. 17

First Mennonite Church's BlauRock Cafe will present an evening of celebrating a vision of world peace expressed in music, prose, poetry, and the words of the Martin Luther King Jr.The event is at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, in Fellowship Hall in the church.

The evening includes coffeehouse-style entertainment. Amy Lehman Mikesell, Hassan Mosoka and Shahad Aldoori offer reports of conflict and hope from various parts of the world.Musical performers include Matthew Keeler, Jeff and Marlyce Gundy, Tamara Al-Sammarraie, and One in a Number, The Bluffton Women's Choir.

Women's Entrepreneurial Network meeting canceled

Bluffton routs Earlham 73-49 in Founders Hall (men's)

The Bluffton University men's basketball team used a dominating performance to upend HCAC rival Earlham College on Saturday, January 15. The Beavers upped their record to 11-4 overall and 4-4 in the Heartland Conference. Earlham slipped to 0-8 in HCAC action and 2-13 for this season.

Bluffton throttles Earlham in 60-40 win over Quakers (women)

The Bluffton University women's basketball team knocked off Heartland Conference rival Earlham College 60-40 on Saturday, January 15, in Founders Hall. Bluffton improved to 6-9 overall and 3-5 in the HCAC. Earlham dropped to 0-8 in the conference and 0-15 on the season. The Quakers' 40 points marked a season-low for the Bluffton defense.
