Tickets available for Transport for Christ Second Chance Chapel banquet

Tickets are now available for the Transport for Christ Second Chance Chapel banquet planned at Marbeck Center on the Bluffton University campus on Friday, Feb. 20, according to David Lugibihl, chaplain.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the banquet beings at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the group "Three Bridges."

"You meal has been paid for, but you must reserve your place to attend," said Lugibihl. Call Lugibihl at 419-230-3294 to reserve a tickets.

Red Cross blood drive Feb. 5 at First Mennonite Church

A Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.

If you wish to schedule a blood donation, please call 1-800-Red Cross or go to redcrossblood.org, sponsor code “fmenncbl.” Walk-ins are welcome.

The Mission, Peace and Service Commission of First Mennonite helps to organize a Red Cross blood drive twice each year.

Pandora UM holds free community meal Feb. 25

Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the church fellowship hall. The meal this month is provided by Mission Committee of Pandora UMC. The menu will be chicken sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, dessert and beverage.

The church is located at 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.

Churches offering food boxes to P-G households

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District.  The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.  In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16. Boxes will be available to be picked at 11 a.m. up Saturday, Feb. 28 at Grace Mennonite Church, 502 East Main St.,  Pandora.

Bluffton American Legion commemorates Four Chaplains Sunday at First United Methodist

In commemoration of the sacrifice of four armed forces Chaplains during World War II, The American Legion will observe Religious Emphasis Week, Feb. 1 to Feb. 7, according to Don Rock, chaplain of Bluffton Post 382.

The Bluffton American Legion members will attend the 10:30 a.m. service at First United Methodist  Church, Sunday, Feb. 1. All veterans and their spouses are welcome to attend.

Bluffton First United Methodist baked spaghetti dinner Feb. 18

First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, will hold a baked spaghetti dinner to benefit children and youth ministries from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 in the fellowship hall.Youth Ministries. Tickets are $7 each. Contact 419-358-8921; carry-out and delivery are available.
