County Line Church of the Brethren, 4227 N. Hardin Road, Harrod, will hold a dedication and homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 12, according to Tom Dearth, senior pastor.

The day includes a 10:30 a.m. combination morning service and dedication service for the congregation’s new Multi-purpose Building.

Immediately following is a carry-in dinner held in the Multi-purpose Building. Meat, drinks and table service will be provided.

The events of the day are open to the public.

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District.

The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four. In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on October 15.

Boxes will be available to be picked up 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25 at at the Grace Mennonite Church, 502 East Main Street, Pandora.

The Ebenezer Mennonite Youth are having a pancake breakfast benefit for Missy Bishoff at the Campus Life Building across from the high school on Saturday October 4, 2014 from 8am-11am.

There will be a free will donation and also a cinnamon roll bake sale. Proceeds will go directly to the Bishoff family.

Facilitated by pastors Mark and DJ Fuerstenau, Strength in Christ is an informal group for individuals facing challenges such as the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, a failing relationship, a financial struggle, or someone who just doesn't know which way to turn. 

An “Ultimate Date Night Event,” takes place for couples at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road, Bluffton, according to Dale Seefeldt, family pastor.

The program will be presented by Jay and Laura Laffoon, authors of several books and DVDs, billed as “marriage edu-tainers,” who place their real marriage of almost 30 years on display. Their weekly online talk show Jay & Laura TV offers tips on connecting as a couple and a family. The Laffoons have two children and live in Michigan.

A "concert on the corner" is scheduled downtown Bluffton at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, according to Rev. David Good of the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.

The concert features Jayne McGarrity, Dave Sycks and the Bluffton Presbyterian Church Choir featuring Gospel Jazz and the Feast of Life.

The performance is free and open to the public. It takes place on the Presbyterian Church lawn on the corner of Main and Cherry.
