Actually, meet the Bluffton Child Development Center pre-kindergarten graduating class of 2014. Jump ahead 13 school years and it's suddenly the year 2027.

Graduation ceremonies were May 22 at Bluffton Baptist Church. During the graduation program members of the class sang "Hakuna Matata," from Disney's Lion King. They recited the graduation poem, watched a slide show, held the graduation ceremony and concluded with a dance recital.

Three programs are on the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District calendar.

The Ottawa Metro Park is one mile east of I-75 on State Route 81(Ada Rd.), between Marimor School and Industries and the Bath Township House.

AN ICON OPINION

In our lifetime of observing events in Bluffton several things are clear. Topics that sell newspapers and get heavy hits on the Icon include:

• Fantastic girls’ basketball teams
• Floods
• Mystery beasts roaming the countryside
• Issues of controversy involving Bluffton village government

The ongoing discussion of Bluffton government deserves a comment.

1 – The town hall water flood was a fluke. Anyone who thinks it serves to cover up any village shenanigans needs to have his head examined.
