The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of several Bluffton fall events. And, this is by no means the complete list.
Some of these are chamber sponsored, other chamber supported, while others are for information purposes. Watch the Icon for more details on all these events, and in the meantime, add the ones of interest to your calendar.
Southgate Lanes and Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to sponsor a Business Bowling Scramble on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the bowling alley, 9700 N. Dixie Highway, Bluffton.
“The event is a fundraiser for the chamber’s Main Street banner project,” said Derek Dukes of the bowling alley. “Ten four-person teams will compete in the evening scramble. Bowling begins at 5 p.m.”
Lots of back-to-school items are on Monday’s Bluffton school board agenda, according to Greg Denecker, superintendent.
The 2013-14 school year official starts Monday, Aug. 26. Then on Thursday, Aug. 29, kindergarten classes begin.
The board will act on the resignation of Ned Niswander, custodian, effective Aug. 31, and the classified contract of Shaun Kopp, custodian, effective Aug. 19.
Several supplemental, substitute teacher, long-term sub and home tutoring contracts will be acted upon.
