Earth Day was the perfect day for third and fourth year pharmacy students from Ohio Northern University to present a program at Maple Crest, Bluffton, on the proper use of prescription drugs and the proper disposal of out-of-date medications, which includes the issue of environmental protection. 

The students are members of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), an organization that specifically focuses on “empowering pharmacists to enhance the quality of care for all older persons through the appropriate use of medication and the promotion of healthy aging.” 

Worship services for May are announced at the Mennonite Memorial Home. The schedule follows:

"Caramel Nut Cluster" Is May's Flavor of the Month at Shirley's. 

"After years of our customers asking for a nutty caramel, we've emerged from our test kitchen with the perfect blend of dry roasted peanuts and smooth sweet caramel," Peter Suter told The Icon.

 

Bluffton High School's fourth annual alumni boys' basketball tournament is signing up teams, according to Todd Boblitt, BHS coach.

This year's tournament is Saturday, June 1, in the BHS gym. There is a $100 entry fee per team. There will be two divisions: recreational and competitive.

Earlier this spring Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre', Ada,  traveled with 18 dancers to Cleveland for their 2013 Performance at the Q in the Primtime Performance of the Cavs versus 76ers.

Their piece titled "Born This Way" was choreographed by Bluffton's Jocelyn Sherman and Directed by RIMDC Owner Darcey Schneider.
