The fifth week of Keeping Active’s free fitness and nutritional programs is underway at BFR Sports & Fitness.  

The week will feature a $10 CouponDay, plus free walking days, exercise classes and demonstrations.

Several fitness classes will be offered free to current as well as new attendees.

The Curling Iron, 129 N. Main St., Bluffton is holding a "Give From The Heart Canned Good Drive," this month.

Persons who bring in one or more canned goods receive a free travel-size hair product (while supplies last).

 

Richard "Rick" L. Swisher Jr., 55, of Beaverdam died at 12:03 p.m. Feb. 10, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born June 25, 1957, in Findlay to Richard and Sharon (Osborn) Swisher Sr. who survive in Beaverdam. 

He had been married to Kathy (Jones) Swisher. Rick was employed by Cardinal Bus Sales, Lima. He had been the fire chief of Beaverdam-Richland Fire Department from 1985 to 2000. He was an Eagle Scout.  He was a 1975 graduate from Bluffton High School.
