Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 11. That’s the date of the 42nd annual Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce arts and crafts show. The show is on Main Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a chamber fundraiser.

The show includes several traditional features and some new ones that will make this year one of the largest is several seasons.

The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will hold a spring tea with a touch of mystery on Thursday, April 11.

The team at 5:45 p.m. in the Richland Room. The cost is $12. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the library front desk.

Clyde W. Augsburger, 84, of Bluffton died April 8, 2013, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, surrounded by family.

Mr. Augsburger was born in Bluffton on Oct. 2, 1928, to the late Omar and Fannie (Frankhauser) Augsburger. On July 11, 1948, he married Donna McCullough and she survives.

He grew up in the Pandora and Bluffton areas, attending the Stratton one-room schoolhouse on the Ewing farm his first and second grades in school. When he graduated from Pandora High School in 1946 he began a lifelong career as a farmer.

The Croods (PG), an animated comedy, will be showing every evening at 7 p.m. in additions to matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

For the late show, every evening at 9:30 p.m. will be:
Identity Theif (R), a comedy starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.

.Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn flavor of the month for April is Raspberry Truffle.

Following the open session of Bluffton council on Monday, the council entered executive session to discuss contracts and pending litigation.

Following the executive session, council returned to open session. There is accepted the bid for refuse and recycling submitted by Republic Services for a new three-year contract, commencing June 1, 2013.

"There will be more information forthcoming on the contract and any changes that residents may expect," Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, told The Icon.
