On Feb. 4 Christine Purves moved into her new home at 103 Willow Ridge Drive, more affectionately known as Frieda House. Christine is one of 12 elders who are the first to call Willow Ridge “home.”  Willow Ridge is the newest community of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) and provides licensed nursing care for 20 elders in two Green House homes. 

Rhonda Wolpert, Green House Guide and Administrator for Mennonite Memorial Home, can hardly contain her excitement about this new opportunity.

Bluffton council needs to adopt new updated Floodplain Management Regulations if it hopes to continue to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.

He will share this information with Bluffton council at its Monday, Feb. 11, meeting. He said that a new floodplain map goes into effect on May 2. The most recent village floodplain regulations were adopted in 1995.

Edith A. Dunbar, 87 of Richland Township and formerly of Northville, Michigan, died at 11:20 am Feb. 10, 2013 at her residence. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
