Winifred Staley

Winifred C. Staley, 91, of Bluffton died at 11:22 a.m. Aug. 26, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born May 3, 1921 in Bath Township, Allen County to Charles L. and Mollie Johnson Mason. On July 3, 1941 she married Russell D. Staley and he survives.
Mrs. Staley was a homemaker. Winifred and Russell celebrated their 71st anniversary with their annual family picnic and softball game.

Fall programming is beginning the week of Sept. 3 at BFR Sports and Fitness, according to Carole Enneking, BFR director.
Adult Fitness Classes will return to the fall schedule with morning, evening and weekend options. Sue Sheehan returns to teaching, after a summer off, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (8:30-9:30 am). Sue offers All Star Workouts on Monday and Wednesdays and YogaFit on Fridays.

Apollo Career Center has announced its Apollo Levy Steering Committee for the Nov. 6 election. The group of business, education and economic development leaders from across the district will guide Apollo's "Change the Future" campaign. Bluffton school district is in the Apollo system.
Several persons with Bluffton connections are on the committee.
The school is seeking approval of a 1-mill levy to upgrade its aging infrastructure, equipment and classroom space. If approved, it would cost the average homeowner about $2.50 a month or just over $30 a year.

The Internal Revenue Service today reminded truckers and other owners of heavy highway vehicles that in most cases, their next federal highway use tax return is due on Aug. 31, 2012.

Lois E. Agin

Lois E. Agin, 95, of Bluffton died at 9:06 a.m. Aug. 27, 2012, at her residence. She was born Aug.24, 1917, in Bluffton to William P. and Susan Klingler Clark Agin.
Miss Agin retired from Triplett Corp., Bluffton in 1983. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School. She loved to crochet, garden, watch birds and play cards.
Many nieces and nephews survive her. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Alma Diller, Evea Little, Ella Keller, Clara Jones, Dortha Agin, Lily Dean Agin, three brothers, Jacob Agin, George Agin, Ivan Agin and a half brother, Paul Clark.

Allene Luginbuhl

Allene Luginbuhl, 93, died at 9:47 a.m. Aug. 21, 2012 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Nov. 15, 1918 in Miller City to Claude and Nora (Mullett) Stuber. On July 17, 1941, she married Robert E. Luginbuhl and he died Dec. 18, 1990.
Mrs. Luginbuhl retired from Triplett Corp. Bluffton. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, Findlay, attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton, was a founding member of the Progressive Mothers Club and was active with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
