Ever want to be a princess...just for a day? Nine little girls ages 4 to 9 had the chance during BFR's Princess for a Day Program on July 18.
Back by popular demand, girls spent the day getting their hair done, doing crafts, making cheers, painting their nails and pretenting they were a princess for a day.
The Blanchard Valley Regional Cancer Center (BVRCC), 15990 Medical Drive South, Findlay, will be hosting three American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better events throughout the remainder of 2012. The events will be held Aug. 6, Oct. 1 and Dec. 3 from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. in the BVRCC family room.
The Bluffton Senior Center has cancelled its Western square dancing previously set for July 23. The next Western square dance night will be Monday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. with lessons and 7 p.m. for the dance to start. Cost for the dance is $2 for members and $3 for non members.
AEP provided The Icon with the following weather update for July 19: A cold front will sink into northern Ohio this afternoon.
With a warm and humid air mass in place, the front will help focus
scattered strong thunderstorms. The thunderstorms will develop by early
afternoon in northern Ohio and move slowly southeast through the afternoon and evening.
AEP Ohio's Ohio Valley and Athens Districts are most likely to experience problems with winds gusting to 50 mph in the strongest storms.

Apollo Career Center's board of education will act on legislation at its July 23 to place a tax levy on the Nov. 6 ballot. Voters in the Bluffton school district will have the levy on their ballot.
