Hi everyone! I am Jake Dowling, the University of Findlay intern working for the Bluffton Icon for the summer. I have written a few articles on the Icon including a story on Issac Schumacher, the upcoming Mennofolk event, a story on Scott Weissling, an tutor looking for work and a story on Bridge Hospice holding classes for volunteers.

I am writing to give you all a look at who I am and in hopes that I can get to know you all so much better.

The third annual Bluffton American Legion Post 382 Golf Scramble is Saturday, July 21, at the Bluffton Golf Club.

Tee time is 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. A shotgun start begins the scramble.

The cost per person is $50 and $200 per team. The scramble's proceeds help the Legion sponsor Buckeye Boy and Girl State participants, Wounded Warriors, Honor Flight, Youth Oratorical Contest, American Scholarship Fund and the Veterans Food Pantry.

The fifth annual George H. Frazee III Golf Outing, which is an 18-hole, four-persons scramble, takes place with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Saturday, July 7, at the Bluffton Golf Club.

The purpose of the outing is to raise funds in support of the George H. Frazee III Bluffton University Scholarship Fund.

(Long pause) Lunch. (Longer pause) In eighth grade I liked math.

Do you have any favorite styles of music you like?
I really can't stand Country.

While ever car was a winner, Larry Grismore's 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 of Ottawa, took the Best of Show award at this year's Lions' Club Wheels' Fest.

"The 45th Festival of Wheels was a great success. I would like to thank all those involved in helping with the set up of the car show. It takes so many people to pull off an event like this," said Dennis Morrison, car show chairperson.
