The Bluffton Lady Pirates have had a busy first two weeks of the softball season. The Pirates swatted down their first three opponents, McComb, Carey, and USV before stumbling to Ottawa Glandorf 8-1 and Perry in a double header 11-8 and 10-3.

The next two Pirate batters struck out but the Pirates were able to load bases on two consecutive walks by Spencerville. Lauren Parkins connected with a solid base hit to drive in two runs putting the Pirates up 2-0.
The Bearcats battled back in the bottom of the third off two base hits and a double, tying up the score 2-2.
It was all Pirate softball after that. The Lady Pirates smacked in three runs in the fourth off hits from Parkins, Ashlin Gable, and Tori Halcomb. Topping things off in the fifth the Pirates added five more runs off well placed hits from Kayla Longworth, Katie Palte, Gable, Anna Crisp and Wilson to seal the 10-2 victory for the ladies.
