Ward Guinther was a U.S. Army veteran
Ward F. Guinther, 57 died at 1:42 p.m. March 26, 2013. at his residence surrounded by his family following a seven month battle with cancer. He was born April 15, 1955, in Sturgis, Michigan, to the late Jack and Betty (Gill) Guinther. On May 13, 1999 he married Charity L. Michel who survives.
Mr. Guinther was an over the road truck driver most recently for Woods Brothers Trucking. Ward was an U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors also include three daughters Jackie (Lyle) Bothe of Aurora, S.D., Joellen Kay (Josh Brown) Lehman of Columbus Grove, Sarah Jean (T.J.) Melton of Columbus Grove; six grandchildren Jasmine, Nathan and Lyle Bothe, Alexis Lehman, Lila Lynn Brown, Sadie Kay Melton; a brother Tom (Mary Ann) Guinther of Sebring, Fla., Debbie (Pat) Davis of Sturgis, Mich.; two brothers in law Tim (June) Michel of Maysville, N.C., John (Deanna) Michel of Columbus Grove; a sister in law Joyce (Gary) Hauenstein of Beaverdam; and a mother in law Wanda (Kenny Smith) Heffner of Columbus Grove.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Michael Downey officiating.
Friends and family may call Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
