Marilyn Jean Waltz Shoemaker Sheidler was a Mt. Cory HS graduate
Marilyn Jean Waltz Shoemaker Sheidler, 85, died Oct. 20, 2014, at her residence in Pandora. She was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Mt. Cory to the late Levi and Ruth (Niswander) Waltz. She married Ralph Shoemaker who preceded her in death and later married John Sheidler who also preceded her in death.
She worked at Rusco Corp., Pandora, and also Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School.
Survivors include: a daughter Cindy (Glen) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove; two sons Mark (Karen) Shoemaker, Randal (Vickie) Shoemaker both of Pandora; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two step sons Tim (Virginia) Sheidler of Greenwood, Ind., Tom (Marilyn) Sheidler of Jupiter, Fla.; four step daughters Sharon (Dan) Reel of Delphos, Lou Ann Dierking of Sarasota, Fla., Karen (Ned) Powell of Linden, Mich., Mary Alice (David) Brewster of Mt. Cory; 12 step grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great -granddaughter; a brother, Leland (Noreen) Waltz of Findlay; two sisters Mary Alice (John) Gauss of Jenera, and Virginia Gray of Brookville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Waltz and a sister Kathleen Montgomery.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pandora United Methodist Church. Pastor Duane Kemerley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pandora United Methodist Church.
