Bluffton 'transition' group hosts February training session
Transition Bluffton will host a transition US launch training lead by national transition US leader Tina Clarke.
The two-day event is Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26, at the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club, 405 N. Spring St. Interested people can register for the event at www.transitionbluffton.org.
Transition US is a nonprofit organization that provides inspiration, encouragement, support, networking, and training for transition initiatives across the United States.
The launch training provides instruction on setting up a local transition initiative and empower communities to directly tackle the issues of peak oil and climate change by rebuilding community resilience and self-reliance.
Transition US work in partnership with the Transition Network, a United Kingdom- based organization that supports the international transition movement.
Transition Bluffton is a local group, modeled after the Transition Town Movement.
