Bluffton swim team finished an impressive third place in the July 14-15 Western Ohio Aquatics League meet in Kenton.
It was the highest finish ever for a Bluffton team in the WOAL. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams finished third, as did the combined Bluffton squad.

Bluffton took three individual first places and five relay first places.
Bluffton also received the Sportsmanship Award, the first place trophy for the 6 and under boys’ category, and first place trophy for 8 and under girls’ category.
The 6 and under events were new this year. That placed 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds in their own category. Previously this age group completed against 7- and 8-year-olds.
Bluffton’s 6 and under boys’ had four of six podium spots for the 25 freestyle. On Saturday Bluffton’s 6 and under boys’ had five of six podium spots for the 25 backstroke.
Camden Verb received first in the 6 and under 25 backstroke, setting the first W.O.A.L record for this new event, with a time of 31.77.
