Baseball: 2 hits for Braeden Edwards in Pirates loss

(SPENCERVILLE) - Spencerville dropped Bluffton to 1-3 in NWC play with a 4-2 victory Thursday evening. The Bearcats outhit the Pirates 9-4.
Spencerville led 1-0 after just one inning but Bluffton got two runs in the top of the second inning to take a 2-1 lead. Brayton Businger knocked in a run with a base knock in the inning.
Senior Braeden Edwards led Bluffton with two hits. Brady Romick and Businger accounted for the remaining of BHS’ four hits. Spencerville got to starting pitcher Dakota Bricker for nine hits and four runs. Bricker threw 92 pitches in the complete game. The senior struck out five.
Bluffton is now 3-6 on the season.
