Village looking for an assistant village administrator
The Village of Bluffton seeks candidates for the position of assistant village administrator, according to Richard Johnson, mayor.
A classified advertisement is posted on the Icon's classified ad page announcing the opening.
Currently the village does not have an assistant administrator. Jesse Blackburn held that post until he was hired in May to replace Jack Huber, who held the position for not quite 12 months.
Blackburn was the assistant for several years, serving with Jamie Mehaffie and later with Huber.
The assistant village administrator's position is full-time and salaried. The village asks that minimum qualifications include an associate degree in a field relevant to public administration, engineering or business. Preferred qualifications and experience will include EPA licenses in water and wastewater along with supervisory skills.
Starting wage depending on experience and qualifications. A job description may be obtained by sending a letter of inquiry to villageadmin@bluffton-ohio.com.
Resume and cover letter are due at the town hall by 4: p.m., Friday, July 20.
