Join the Saturday Santa caravan
Most people think of Santa riding in a sleigh. Not, in Bluffton. Here, he rides in a 1920s-era fire truck.
And, you may join Santa on a Saturday evening cruise around town to see the holiday lights.
It's the longest-ever holiday caravan of vehicles in Bluffton. As of Thursday afternoon 53 vehicles were already signed up to participate.
Santa (and maybe Mrs. Claus) will lead the vehicles while they ride in the fire truck. Jon Kinn will drive the couple and the Bluffton police will lead the caravan.
Here’s how to participate:
Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has reinvited the Blaze of Lights due to covid-19, according to Paula Scott, chamber CEO.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, the caravan will follow Santa and the fire truck on a fun six-mile slow cruise of Bluffton’s holiday lights.
To participate the chamber asks residents to email: [email protected] for an RSVP.
Once you registered, the chamber will send you additional details.
The caravan line-up takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the Bluffton Family Recreation parking lot at 215 Snider Road.
The Wit 96.1 FM, Bluffton University radio station will provide a Christmas-themed soundtrack for the caravan. You may listed from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. during the event.
