If the Farmers' Almanac is correct about a warming trend, window installation could be next on the hospital construction
If the Farmers' Almanac is correct and the weather warms up, windows installation could start soon in the Bluffton Hospital construction project. That's on the tentative schedule for next week's progress at the construction site.
Here are the other projects on tap at the hospital for next week:
- Drywall on second floor continues. Cement board in restrooms is starting so ceramic tile can follow soon.
- Piping for fire protection (sprinkler system), plumbing and HVAC on second floor continues.
- Structural bulkheads on first floor are still underway.
- Electrical rough-in, including telephone and data cabling, continues in all areas.
- HVAC ductwork is being insulated.
- Elevator installation is as far as it can go at this time.
- Door frame setting continues.
- Wood blocking in the walls for mounting equipment continues
- If the Farmers' Almanac is correct and the weather gets above freezing, window installation could begin.
- Purchasing of furniture is now underway and purchasing of clinical equipment continues.
- Coordination of clinical equipment and necessary construction requirements is ongoing.
