Pirate boys soccer felled by Titans

The Bluffton High School boys soccer team lost 3-1 to visiting non-league foe Ottawa-Glandorf at Steinmetz Field on Thursday, September 28.
Bluffton dropped to 4-6-2 overall with the loss.
The Titan record improved to 4-7-1 with the upset win.
Austin Hovest opened the scoring with a goal in the seventh minute that put O-G ahead 1-0.
Teammate Isaac Macke extended the lead to 2-0 by scoring in the 15th minute.
Pirate Theo Andreas cut the deficit in half a minute later with the lone Bluffton goal.
The game stayed 2-1 until the 79th minute, when Titan Jayden Oliver netted an insurance goal to put the game out of reach.
Bluffton directed six of its 16 shots on target. O-G got off 12 shots, half of which were on goal.
Ethan Nickell made two stops in goal for the Pirates while Truett Diller had one save. O-G keeper Zac Ruhe made five saves.
The Pirates visit Riverdale (1-9-1) in another non-conference bout Saturday at 10 a.m. at Falcon Field.
