Lorrie Montgomery 1960-2011
Lorrie Montgomery, 51, of Bluffton, died after a five-year battle with cancer, at 10:42 p.m. on March 4, 2011. She was born in Roanoke, Va., to the late Homer Brookshire, Sr. and Shirley Brookshire of Riverdale, Ga.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer "Butch" Brookshire and survived by two sisters: Teresa (Keith) Harris of Huntsville, Ala., and Kathryn "Suzie" Harper of Riverdale, Ga.
She married Walter Montgomery on Nov. 10, 1979, and he survives in Bluffton. Together they had three daughters: Olivia Montgomery of Izmir, Turkey (USAF) and Maureen and Celeste Montgomery both of Bluffton.
She worked for Nissin Brake Ohio, Inc. She was a member of Bluffton Trinity United Methodist Church.
Her body was donated to The Ohio State University for research. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington.
Pastor John Foster will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be given to St. Rita's Hospice Center, Lima, OH and/or to Cancer Patient Services, Findlay. Interment will be at a later date.
