The winner of The Bluffton Icon's Week 5 of College Football Contest is Jim Dillman. Jim and Mike Burris both accumulated 10 points this week with Jim winning the 4th tie-breaker.
There is a tie for this week's High School football contest. Mike Burris and Nancy Armour both picked all 10 games correct receiving 11 points and picked the tie-breakers the same.
Anyone who sang with Earl Lehman in the past is welcome and encouraged to join the Chancel Choir at First Mennonite Church in order to sing at his memorial service, which will be held on Friday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m.
The rehearsal will be on Wednesday evening, October 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Mennonite Church.
The choir will be singing Mendelssohn's "He Watching Over Israel" and Rutter's "For the Beauty of the Earth."
The Transylvania University women's soccer team turned a 17-5 advantage in shots into a 4-0 shutout of Bluffton University on a cold Saturday, October 1, 2011. Bluffton dipped to 4-2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Pioneers improved to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the HCAC.
