You probably never met John Dillinger, but the next best thing – or worst thing – to Public Enemy number 1 will visit Bluffton on Sunday.

John Carnes of Lima, a Dillinger expert, will give several short descriptive talks about the John Dillinger bank robbery that took place on Main Street Bluffton in August of 1933.

Carnes will provide the talks during the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) visit to Bluffton on Sunday. His talks will start at 2 p.m. – he will repeat these a couple times during the afternoon.

A free program on contagious wellness and weight loss will be held at 5:30 p.m., Monday, June 29, at Bluffton Family Recreation, 2015 Snider Road, Bluffton, according to Jeff Reichardt of the 20/30 Fast Track Program.

“If you are interested in contagious wellness and would like to know why seven hormones prevent you from enjoying contagious wellness and weight loss, please join us for the informative program,” he said.

Call 419-860-3481 to reserve a seat as seating is limited. The program is open to the public.

The namesake of Riley Creek - Sea Captain James Riley - will be in Bluffton for Sunday's GOBA actitives. He will talk about his experiences, which include surveying Riley Creek and traveling across the globe.

His talk, open to the public, is at 5 p.m., either outdoors in GOBAville, along Rosenberger Drive and Elm Street, or in case of rain, in Marbeck Center. (Captain Riley is also known as Dr. Darrell Groman.)

We asked the good captain to tell Icon viewers alitle about himself. Here's what he told us:

The title of my presentation, for years has been...

Antique cars, classic cars, trucks, tractors, golf carts, fire engines, motorcycles and Cushman each have one thing in common: Wheels.

And that word will be celebrated in Bluffton on Friday, June 19, as the Bluffton Lions Club brings the 48th annual Bluffton Festival of Wheels cruise-in to Main Street.

This year's show commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Dixie Highway. Main Street Bluffton was once part of that highway that spread from Canada to Florida.
