Bluffton University will celebrate Homecoming weekend Oct. 7 and 8.
A free picnic lunch will be available for alumni in an alumni tailgate tent at Emery Sears Athletic Complex from noon until 1:30 p.m., when the Homecoming game against Anderson will begin.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team waited out an hour and 10 minute storm delay and then gave undefeated Otterbein University all it could handle for 60 minutes before the Cardinals pulled away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. Bluffton fell to 1-5 on the season while the visitors improved to 6-0-1 overall following the 4-1 victory.
Hannah Conklin, a sophomore convergent media major from Westerville, Ohio, spent the summer as an intern at 104.9 The River. However, there were no coffee runs or mindless data entry in Conklin’s summer schedule. Instead she spent the majority of her day with the station’s digital and community impact department, promoting the radio station’s mission to “encourage connections and share Jesus” on the social media channels.
104.9 The River is a nonprofit, Christian radio station and the third highest rated radio station in Columbus.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior Jordan Watkins (Reynoldsburg) has been named the Heartland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following Bluffton's first victory of the season.
Watkins led the Beavers to a 32-31 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Sept. 16. The senior hit four field goals, including a 37 yarder with less than 30 seconds remaining to seal the win over the Lions!
Bluffton welcomes the HCAC-favorite Franklin College Grizzlies to Alumni Field on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior Bethany Martini (Pickerington, Ohio/North) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a 3-1 mark. It marks the second time in three weeks that Martini has been the Offensive Player of the Week in the HCAC!
The powerful outside pounded 62 kills (4.77 KPS) for a .260 hitting percentage. She was named the Bluffton Fall Classic MVP after a career-high 22 kills in a four-set victory over Allegheny.
Bluffton University students who participated in a cross-cultural experience last spring will speak during campus Forums at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Yoder Recital Hall. The presentations are free and open to the public.
Students who traveled to Bolivia, Chicago and Botswana will recount their experiences in the morning while students who traveled to China, Trinidad and Kentucky will share their experiences in the evening.
