Bluffton's spring fire hydrant flushing will begin Monday, April 25.
"This will take us approximately two weeks to complete, Jan Basinger of the village water department told The Icon.
Basinger warns that the hydrant flushing could cause discoloration of water and possible taste issues. The discoloration and tasts issues should not last long, however.
If the resident runs their garden hose for several minutes it could help their water conditions improve more quickly, he said. "Residents should avoid doing laundry if they see us flushing in the area."
Indie rock trio Jonathan Reuel and the Brilliant will play the back room of Tu Pueblo Mexican Restaurant, 142 N Main St, Bluffton, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30. There is a $5 cover charge.

Adults searching for an affordable fitness membership are invited to take advantage of BFR's summer membership special, according to Carole Enneking of BFR.
Beginning May 1, the three-month membership fee will result in four months of membership. The cost is $87.86 (including sales tax) and includes access to the Fitness Center, Program Design Services, Drop in Recreation hours, access to the indoor track, plus discounts on fitness class and Ultimate Fit fees.
Senior Adults (55 years and older) may purchase the summer special for only $79.07 (including sales tax).
The Bluffton Sesquicentennial String Band's will perform a program titled American Fiddle Tunes at 7 p.m., Saturday May 14, in the third floor of the town hall, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick, of the village cultural affairs committee.
The concert is free and open to the public with donations accepted at the door.
"It is Bluffton's 150th Birthday and many plans are in the works to celebrate this summer. One of the events planned is a Historic Ball June 25," she said.

Rosemary Ann VanScoder, 84, of Pandora, died 7:12 p.m., April 21, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born June 15, 1926 in Lima to Maurice and Mary Josephine O'Connell Higgins who preceded her in death. On Sept. 26, 1959 she married Harold "Skeet" VanScoder and he survives. Mrs. VanScoder was a homemaker. She was a secretary at the Equity Dairy, Lima. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove.
