Another 5-0 whitewash by the Bluffton High School girls' tennis team upped its winning streak to nine as Fostoria High was the latest victim.
None of the three Pirate singles performers lost more than a game per set as Ashlin Gable, Emily Sprague and Kristi Geiser tallied straight set wins. All have recorded 10 or more singles victories this fall.
Shaye Liddick and Shannon Koch also had little trouble in gaining two sets, while Rachel Sehlhorst and Bronwyn Greer needed a third-set tiebreak to gain their win.
Kevin Mohr, pastor of English Lutheran Church, head the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) in 2011-12. He and a slate of officers were named at the BAMA reorganizational meeting for 2011-12 held earlier this month.

ArtSpace/Lima announces the opening of "Bluffton University Faculty and Their Students," a double exhibition of recent works, with a reception for the artists on Friday, Sept. 16, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
The exhibit will feature works by the current faculty of the department of art at Bluffton: Gregg Luginbuhl, department chair, Phil Sugden, and Andreas Baumgartner, as well as work by recent and current students, including Kelsey Greeley, Becky Lutz, Maegan Rohdes, Melissa Rex, and Amy Deland.

Join "Gourd Man" Keith McClelland to discover the magic of gourd-carving at Bluffton Public Library on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. He will demonstrate how to carve gourds with a Halloween theme.

Bluffton University students answer some back to school questions on an Icon YouTube video. They talk about what the forgot to bring, what they miss most about home, what they like to do on campus, and what kind of culture shock they had coming to a small town like Bluffton.
Jordan Howe, Bluffton University journalism student and fall Icon intern, created the video. Howe will create several brief videos during the fall semester for the Icon.
